I have been going to Vero Beach for the week of my birthday twice now and each time I pick a “project”. Whether its learning something new, a couple of book goals, or just coding. This years winner is openFrameworks! As many of you know, one major area I run at IBM is a demonstration team. This is where we create custom demonstrations, POT’s and POC’s for customers problems. We create some amazing demonstrations that show the value of Watson Customer Enagements solutions to tough customer problems. Part of the demonstration process is story telling. And there is nothing better than really cool animations and visuals to have when you are telling that story. If you recall from one of my partner videos, this is where I really started playing with animation software. That animation was done in Final Cut ProX and Apple Motion.
OpenFrameworks is an open source C++ toolkit designed to assist the creative process by providing a simple and intuitive framework for experimentation(link). This should really enhance my arsenal and story visuals.
